Ashiatsu
In Japanese 'Ashi' meaning foot & 'Atsu' meaning pressure. Therapist uses parallel bars on the ceiling to hold most of their weight and uses long strokes, the effect of this modality is deeper pressure and sense of relaxation.

Traditional Thai Massage (Nuad-Bo-Rarn)
Sometimes refereed to Lazy Mans Yoga. Traditional Thai massage is an ancient healing system that combines broad and targeted acupressure, stimulation and manipulation of energy lines called sen, and assisted yoga postures. Traditional Thai massage rarely uses oils or lotions, and the recipient remains clothed during a treatment.
Shiatsu
In Japanese, shiatsu means "finger pressure." For shiatsu massage, the therapist uses varied, rhythmic pressure on certain precise points of the body. These points are called acupressure points, and they are believed to be important for the flow of the body's vital energy, called chi. Proponents say shiatsu massage can help relieve blockages at these acupressure points.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a technique that focuses on specific pressure points within your feet and hands to help correct energy flows throughout your body. By stimulating the peripheral nervous system, or the nerve endings in these areas, great relaxation occurs throughout the body. A foot bath and aromatherapy are included in these sessions, clients are comfortably propped up in a reclined position on the table during the session.

Headache & Migraine Release
Specific pressure and massage techniques are applied to the Trapezius, Spelnius, Scalenes, Sternocleidomastoid, Semispinalis, Temporalis & Suboccipital muscles to relieve pain and other symptoms you may experience as a result of headaches. Use of specific essential oils are applied to the client and diffused in the room during this treatment.
Intra-Oral Massage TMJ Release
Work done on the head & neck to help release tension from jaw clenching and clinical TMJ diagnosis. The therapist uses a glove to massage muscles inside of mouth to relieve pain and tension. Muscles Targeted include the Pterygoids, Suprahyoid, & Masseter. This treatment is highly effective, bringing noticeable ease to the jaw and neck.

Hot Stone Massage
Basalt stones are heated in a hot water bath and used as a tool for gliding massage and placed onto the body. Warming the tissue helps to promote deeper relaxation and more effective therapeutic work.

Aromatherapy
100% Therapeutic Grade A essential oils will be diffused in your room & can be applied directly to the body while receiving any massage service. Essential oils have specific healing and supportive properties unique to each plant & plant blend. The therapeutic value of the oils can be obtained through the air with aromatherapy, applied right to the skin and with the vitality oils, ingested into the body. We have a large collection of blends and single essential oils for use.
Cupping
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

Bajos Peri Steam Hydrotherapy Pelvic Steaming
Peri-Steam Hydrotherapy uses herbal steam to treat common gynecological issues, balance the menstrual cycle, ease pain associated with Menses and or Peri-menopausal symptoms. Very beneficial during the post-partum time. Also referred to as Yoni Steaming, Vaginal steaming or Bajos.
Infrared Sauna Sessions
Infrared is a thicker wavelength than traditional dry heat saunas, this driving the therapeutic benefit deeper into the body at a more mild temperature (~135 degree f.) Penetrating muscle tissue for an invigorating sweat and brings about a full body detox quicker than traditional dry heat.

Prenatal Massage
This is a full body relaxation massage session for the expecting mother, working to ease the many discomforts of pregnancy throughout the entire journey. Massage Therapy is safe and beneficial to receive throughout pregnancy. It is typically advised that the Mother be at least 14 weeks pregnant to receive, NOT because massage therapy is ill advised but due to the fact that miscarriage is more likely in the 7-12 week window.
Integrative Pregnancy Massage
The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy as taught by Dr. Rosita Arvigo DN, supports the physical changes experienced by women during pregnancy. As the baby and uterus grow additional pelvic strain is put on the uterine and pelvic ligaments and pelvic floor muscles. With regular massage to the pregnant belly and lower back the uterus stays well positioned, receives optimal blood supply and grows strong and resilient. Arvigo Therapy normalizes pelvic alignment & allows for optimal positioning of the uterus & baby.

Allyson is a trained doula, she completed her education with Patty Brennan at the Ann Arbor Center for the Child Bearing Year.
